Timed to coincide with fall colors and the annual elk rut in Rocky Mountain National Park, this workshop focuses on how to bring out the best in your photographs by applying the techniques Ansel Adams used in making his classic black and white images.

According to Adams, “The negative is the equivalent of the composer’s score, and the print the performance.”

The images we make in the field with our cameras are the score. During this workshop, you will learn how to take that score and produce the performance.

The true artistry of Adam’s prints was the result of his work in darkroom. In order to produce similar works of art, we too, must take our photographs into the darkroom - the Digital Darkroom.

Using Photoshop, participants will learn the digital equivalent of the darkroom techniques used by Ansel Adams during this hands-on, all-day workshop.
